At the Car Wash
Today was awfully close to being a no-spend day. Unfortunately, the money I desperately wanted to spend didn’t get spent. I’ll explain but first let me itemize the money I did spend.
Car Wash — ~$5.00
The Outback was filthy and the temperature was above freezing for the first time in over a week so I stopped at the car wash this afternoon. There was a long line for the two automatic wash stalls so I quickly ducked into an empty do-it-yourself stall and gave at least the first layer of winter grime a good blast. I didn’t bother with the foam brush, too cold for that. I put the wash on a credit card and didn’t receive a receipt so I’m approximating what I think I spent today.
That’s the money I did spend. The money I wanted to spend, but didn’t, was the $34.95 I have earmarked for YNAB3. Apparently Jesse starting the public beta release today but they’re doing a staggered release so things don’t get too bogged down. Downloads will be available by invitation only at first and I have not yet received my email invitation. I was hoping I’d be one of the early invitees since I originally purchased the software over two years ago. But no such luck. So as desperate as I am to spend that $34.95 and get to playing around with the YNAB software on my Mac, I guess I’ll just have to wait my turn. I’ll wait but I don’t have to be happy about it.
