Catching Up on Daily $$ & Doing
So, anyway....
Yesterday I made a good dent in the tasks I'd set out for myself but I didn't nail them all. I did switch out the mattress and I did lug the spare down to its proper storage spot in the basement. I did clean the kitchen but not as thoroughly as I'd planned. It was a good start though -- but as will happen with kitchens, it's messy again. I did finish the kids' paperwork but then forgot to give it to The Daughter. She has it now so it will be turned in tomorrow. And I did fold laundry for nearly three hours but I didn't get it all folded and put away.
I also exercised, ran to the grocery store, made a delicious lasagna, and got quite a bit of good work done on my store and inventory database.
Yesterday's expenses:
Natural Grocers -- $68.99
The package turkey is on sale right now for a fabulous price. I plan to make a whole bunch of hot pocket sandwiches this weekend for school lunches (a yummy recipe I've developed myself, I'll have to share it sometime). This store sells the single-serving yogurt for $0.20 less than Kroger. And the Odwallas are on sale lately; I'd given them up for a while but I've figured out a yummy way of extending them -- mix about 1/2 and 1/2 with the Santa Cruz organic lemon or lime juice over ice. Way good!

Today was even more productive than yesterday in terms of both cleaning house and working on my store. I did a very overdue and thorough cleaning in our bedroom. Vacuumed the rest of the main floor -- including the spot in front of the couch where The Son had dumped a little pile of sand left in his shoes from his first-day-of-school hike on Tuesday. I also did several more loads of laundry -- though I didn't fold everything I washed. Seems like I'm forgetting something but it's too late and I'm too tired to worry with it now.
I got a ton of work done on my store as well, along with more cleaning up of my database. I've converted my inventory to Filemaker Pro but first I had to learn FP -- no easy task. It has been fun though and when I'm done I'll not only have a nice-looking virtual store but also a beautiful customized inventory-management database so I can sell the whole business as a turn-key operation.
As far as money goes, today was another no-spend day. It helps that I didn't leave the house; today was my day for the car but as I didn't think I'd actually get out, I let The Daughter have it instead. She had plans for after school, so The Husband picked up The Son. On their way home, they stopped to pick up toothpaste (for The Son) and also bought me a box of snack-sized ziplock baggies. I don't know how much was spent.

I expect tomorrow to be much of the same. I'd like to workout again as well as getting more housework and store work done. I'd like to get in the habit of posting in the morning otherwise I leave it for the evening when I'm tired and really should be in bed and I'm more inclined to put it off altogether and miss days. And that bugs me. Again with the not feeling good about half-assed work.
