Bad News and a Good Day

I finally heard back about the job I had applied for.  I didn't get it.  I was really disappointed and feeling pretty low this morning.  But I won't give up.  The manager indicated that he'd keep me in mind if and when they're hiring again; hopefully that will be for the holiday season.

The good news is it clears up my schedule.  The plan to drive out and visit my mom is now back on track and believe you me, I've got plenty to keep me busy around the house for the next decade or two.  The Husband wants me to put selling my clothing business at the top of the list.

While I nursed my bruised ego, I let my teens sleep in.  After they finally got up, we decided to go see a summer movie together.  The Son has really wanted to see the new Harry Potter movie.  The Daughter had already seen it but since I was paying and her brother really wanted to see it with her, she conceded.

After the movie, we stopped in the nearby Whole Foods for some dinner ingredients.  Because they didn't have everything I needed, we dropped The Daughter at home and I let The Son drive me to and from the local health food store for the rest of dinner and a couple other things.  Sure do hope my heart and nerves are strong enough to withstand another round of high-stress teen-driver training.
