Finally almost caught up with my Daily $$ posts!

Doc­tor co-pay — $50.00

Finally, my appoint­ment to see my Endocrinologist.

This is my first post-thyroidectomy appoint­ment with him.  After enu­mer­at­ing my long list of hypothy­roid symp­toms the guy actu­ally had the nerve to ask why I hadn’t called him and requested an ear­lier appoint­ment in light of the fact that I’ve been feel­ing so bad.  Uh, excuse me!?  Didn’t I call?  Twice?  And talk directly to the doc­tor him­self?  And tell him how I was already expe­ri­enc­ing hypo symp­toms?  And hadn’t he insisted that I wait a cer­tain amount of time after the surgery before tak­ing my first post-surgery blood test?

The nerve!

He’s really not a bad guy.  He’s just a doc­tor.  A male doc­tor, at that.

He upped my pre­scribed thy­roid replace­ment dosage and told me to come back in two months for another blood test and check-up.

I feel a bit vin­di­cated but I’d much rather feel nor­mal and functional.
