a financial voyeur’s dream come true: all the intimate details of how, where, and why I spend money

$$: No (Direct) Spending Today

Total Spent Today: $59.18

I’ve been feeling sick for well over a week but today my body took it to a whole new level.  I’m a little concerned that I have an infection of some type — about 12:30 today I realized I was in a great deal of pain.  [Now I'm no hero immune to pain but honestly after four years of living with Fibromyalgia, I have learned to block out pain levels that in earlier years would have brought me to my knees.]

Thinking the pain might be related to a lack of sleep (my bad cough has made sleeping difficult), I went to lie down hoping for a nap.  But I simply could not lie still. My body was wracked with nearly unbearable pain, I was shivering violently, and I was feeling almost pathologically restless, simply unable to sit or lie down in one position for more than a minute.  I paced and shivered and moaned.  I also took three Advil.  Gradually, after about an hour of pacing, I was able to sit on the couch and eventually fell asleep for about 15 minutes.

The one symptom I haven’t had is a fever but that by no means indicates that I don’t have an infection.  I can only think of one occasion in the past few years; I didn’t even run a fever a few years ago when it was discovered I had a severe strep throat infection.

Naturally, I didn’t leave the house and thus spent no money.  In an increasing trend, The Daughter spent money — both at my request and at her own pleasure.

Kroger — $38.01

  • Cheez-Its — $3.29
