$$: No Spend Day

Ah. Another day without a car; another no-spend day.

Not only did I refrain from spending money but I actually actively saved myself money today by engaging in a DIY project. Yup, it was haircut time for The Son. And may I say, it was another job well done.

Other than a few tiny snips here and there on top to even things out, I left the length on top alone — he likes the feel of more hair but he hates the way it tickles his ears. So I trimmed it tight around his neckline (tight enough to require clippers) and over his ears then blended up. He was quite pleased, especially since it only took me about an hour to complete rather than the 2+ hours it usually takes me to cut his hair.

I think he looks handsome and the haircut came out great but it was hard to cut off those thick curling waves.
