More birthday gifts — a huge Hersey’s chocolate bar and a $15 iTunes gift card. Again, I’ll be reimbursed soon.

It was time to fill up The Tank — I pumped 17.496 gallons at $2.809 per gallon. My odometer read 119,731.
Car Wash — $11.25
The Tank got a fill-up and then a nice thorough car wash and vacuuming. It looks so nice and shiny
iHome Audio — $99.99
The Daughter’s 16th birthday is approaching. I’ve been agonizing for weeks over what we should get her. In fact, I think the topic is worth a post of it’s own — tomorrow. Long story short, I ordered a new iHome clock radio in silver as one of her gifts. The iHome site [www.ihomeaudio.com] was the only dependable source I could find selling the latest model, iH9sr. I know that some sources have older models for less money but I decided I wanted the very latest model with all of the latest features including a remote that controls the radio and the iPod functions, two alarms, 5-2-7 alarms settings, different playlists for different alarms, gradual wake-up and sleep functions, etc. Plus this model has a new look and a new color.
All in all, a good day all around. I spent money but nothing I hadn’t planned to spend and no “messy” or impulse expenditures. Mostly I’m grateful that I’ve finally worked out our plan for The Daughter’s birthday so now I can concentrate on getting back to the work of helping my mom with her move.
