Day 129: Cheap Entertainment

Posted on | January 8, 2008 |

My only expense today was a $2 admission charge to watch The Daughter play basketball.  It was a great game and they actually came very close to winning.  The final score was 18 vs 16.  The girls actually found this loss much harder than their usual loss because it was within their grasp yet they couldn’t produce a win.  Most of the time they lose — I mean really lose.  They’ve had games where the other teams have outscored them 5 to 1.

I also had an indirect expense today — an automatic $35 charge to my credit card for The Son’s instrument rental.  Most of the time, I never even see that expense except when I go over my monthly card statement but my previous card had expired and I finally got around to calling them with my new expiration date today.
