A Carnival Shutout and Some Link Love
Posted on | December 13, 2007 |
Well, obviously I don’t have this whole Carnival thing figured out yet
Carnival submissions: 3
Carnival acceptances: 0
I gotta admit, that one hurt. But here I am back at my keyboard. It’s just a good thing my motivation for blogging isn’t the pursuit of external recognition
Not one to hold a grudge (I lie, I can hold a grudge as well as anyone but I’m also a bit neurotic so I’m going to assume that none of my submissions were accepted because they sucked), I’m going to spread a little link love.
Here are the posts that I starred in my Google reader this week:
- wealthy_1 @ collectingmycash asked What is a discretionary fund anyway?
- Beyond the Consumer writes How AT&T Lied to My Wife
- pinyo @ Moolanomy presented the inaugural edition of Ask The Expert with Larry Swedroe
- Blunt Money says that the prize for most unusual use of Quicken goes to …
- glblguy’s Money Saving Tip #19 explains how to get a better shave for less money – info I’ve tucked away for The Son’s upcoming 14th birthday
- Mighty Bargain Hunter sings the praises of gift cards; I, too, give gift cards and love to receive them — I sure wish someone would give me an iTunes card
- The Dough Roller wrote the Ultimate Guide to Traditional and Roth 401(k) and IRA Retirement Accounts
And though not money-related, Dawn @ One Woman’s Journey wrote about Kids Who Are Different… – a subject very dear to my heart.

I wouldn’t worry about the submitted vs accepted counts. Just submit and forget. Also, make sure you submit to “active” carnivals. There are a lot of dead ones on the list that never publish.
