Day 75: Groceries and Shipping

Posted on | November 16, 2007 |

FedEx — $17.80
Shipping for a big box of clothes I sold on eBay to a single bidder.  This bill was a bit stale — I let it sit because FedEx lost the box!  My buyer was very upset because it was stuffed full of Hanna Andersson shirts, Levi’s jeans, and Timberland Gore-Tex hiking boots.  Anyway, FedEx finally claimed the package lost.  I issued a Paypal refund to the buyer and now await my refund from FedEx.  They’d better not lost that.

 Daughter’s School — $300.00
I’ve been meaning to stock up on grocery cards again for almost two weeks but kept forgetting to call during school hours.  I’d always think of it about 1/2-hour after dismissal.  Today being the last day before school let out for a week, I finally remembered.  I bought two $100 Kroger cards and one $100 Vitamin Cottage card.  Now I can do some stocking up and get my much-needed holiday baking supplies while also feeling good about having vicariously donated $15 to the school’s operating fund.
