Day 65
A rare occasion — a “no spend” day! Of course, other than taking a walk with The Son, I didn’t leave the house — not even to pick up The Daughter from school because she stayed home sick today.
Tomorrow’s going to make up for it though — it’s slated to be a crazy, busy day. It shouldn’t end up being an expensive day though. Just a regular, run-of-the-mill day in the life of a suburban mom with an expense here and an expense there. All in a day’s work

I love days where I don’t spend any money. Yesterday was like that for me. Today will be different. Sunday I didn’t make it to the grocery store until after working my snowflaking job. So several key weekly items were not in stock. Now I have to go back tonight and pick them up. Plus I have to fill my gas tank.

I have to be careful about “no spend” days because often I’m just putting off inevitable purchases and sometimes I end up spending more than I would have — like missing a sale or shopping hungry and buying too many impulse items.
