Auction Update
My second wave of auctions will start ending tomorrow. I have a total of 31 current auctions right now; there have been 18 bids placed on 12 of those listings totaling $100.73. This second wave of auctions is not going to bring in nearly as much money as the first batch — they’re just not the same caliber of clothes and most of these listings are for individual items whereas the first batch had quite a few lots. I’m still shipping items from the first wave but I think the only buyer who hasn’t paid yet is someone who’s bidding on a number of listings in the second batch. So she’d just waiting to combine all of her purchases together into a single shipment. That’s just fine with me ;-)

eBay’s listing sale ended last night and it’s just as well. I didn’t get everything listed that I’d hoped to but I was seriously burned out and the forced break came at just the right time. If the sale hadn’t ended, I likely would have continued pushing myself. But I really need a break. My fibromyalgia pain level is definitely climbing and my sleep-deprivation level is extremely high. I need to collect myself and try to get back into some better rhythms. Hopefully I’ll start to feel better if I can get a few good nights of sleep under my belt.

Day 30

Published by Suburban Wife under auto, clothing, food, Daily $$'s

Knit Shop — $58.37
Yarn for a new vest! I really need a new vest and really wanted a new knitting project. I bought 6 skeins of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride bulky in a heathered green called Pine Shadows and 1 skein of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride worsted weight in a heathered brown called Sable.

I was afraid it might take me a couple of years to find my old pattern and my circular needles from the last time I made one of these vests but believe it or not I found them right away! And I got started right away; I’m well on my way to a new vest.

School — $100.00
I bought two $50 grocery cards today — one for Kroger’s and one for Vitamin Cottage. I’ve always wanted to help support the school through the purchase of grocery certificates — a great way to benefit the school without spending any extra money that I wouldn’t normally spend. The problem’s always been, however, that I buy everything with a credit card. Organizations usually require a check as payment for the certificates. But The Daughter’s school lets me use a credit card. It’s a beautiful solution.

Toyota — $647.78
Front and rear brakes on The Tank. Ugh. About two weeks ago the Brake, VSC Off, and VSC Trac lights all came on. I don’t usually ignore idiot lights but I’ve had this problem before. It’s worst when it’s cold and often the lights go off when the weather warms up. As I said, I don’t like to ignore idiot lights, but since they weren’t always on and our schedule’s been so hectic, I put off making an appointment for service. Really, the only day we can even consider being able to function with only one car is on Monday. I’d meant to call last week but forgot so we did a late-night drop-off on Sunday hoping that they’d be able to fit it into the schedule. They did. The Tank has new brakes. And we’ll be getting an American Express bill later this month. Always something….
