Day 6
Home Depot -- $35.92
Light bulbs for track lighting: 2) par20; 1) par30; 1) double-pin bulb. Boy these things are expensive. Combine the price of these bulbs with the energy bill... it's incentive to start harping on the kids again to get them to turn off lights they aren't using.
Ace Hardware -- $24.17
Two different solutions to fix the fridge/ice maker water connection issue that came up today. The handyman friend and I looked at the ice-maker kits at Home Depot on Monday. Since they use a self-tapping clamp-on connection, we figured thats what we'd be looking at with the kit that would come with the fridge. Nope. We need a water supply line to have a threaded fitting. Luckily the handyman will be here tomorrow to tear down a shed for me; I called him this afternoon so he's prepared to fix the issue tomorrow. One of the two solutions will be used and the other one will be returned to the store for credit. The good news is that either solution will be more leak-proof than the self-tapping clamp-on solution that we were expecting.
